Hey y'all, it's Vivienne here! We are so excited to announce the launch of Desert Lotus Vintage: The Podcast! This idea has been a conversation between me and my mom for the last year and we are finally making it a reality.
Now that I am in graduate school, it has opened up a window for me to be able to create this podcast, strategically plan episodes, and bring awareness to Desert Lotus Vintage on another level!
The purpose of this project is not only to expand our audience but also to expand general knowledge on all things vintage, reselling, fashion, and estate sales. This is something that we are both passionate about, and it has become a growing industry, especially in the social media realm. There has been an increase in resellers, and most of them have shifted away from eBay and gone to platforms like Instagram to sell directly. We want to bring up issues and exciting opportunities that have risen in the last year for both resellers and vintage shoppers. We also want to cover hot topics around estate sales and what to expect when you hire an estate sale company.
Our intended audience will be other resellers and vintage shoppers with a wide age range. Currently, we have booths in Mandeville, LA, and Daphne, AL, and host estate sales in Hattiesburg, the Greater New Orleans area, and the Greater Mobile area. Our audience ranges from the Northshore to the Eastern Shore. Because social media has popularized thrifting, our audience age range could go from 18 - 65+. We would love to interview other people in the industry and cover a variety of topics, from brick-and-mortar business to finding the perfect vintage decor for your home.
